Well, I just got my internship agreement completed. Soon last  examinations and the end of my studies year. I expect a lot from these six months of internship, and finally the opportunity to really take advantage of everything I learned, and moreover in a position that is actually what I was looking for.

The subject of the course is to develop an infrastructure discovery module for the tool JASMINe Monitoring. JASMINE is an open-source software developed within the OW2 consortium which manages Software Oriented Architecture (SOA) such as clusters of J2EE servers. The monitoring part is devoted to monitoring and maintenance of these systems. The purpose of my internship is to develop a new module that integrates with the tool to enable the discovery of infrastructures already deployed (J2EE Servers, VM, …)

My internship begins Monday, March 29 at Échirolles and my internship supervisor is Julien Legrand.

To summarize, “La Nuit de l’info” this year was:

- About 80 teams

18 challenges proposed by the industrial and academic partners (Polytech, Sun, Apple, IBM, CapGemini …)

A web development topic oriented “Green IT”

15 hours of job in the night (from 8h02 to 16h39)

And our team, RICM-2010, composed of the best students of RICM5.

After a night full of good humor, laughter, pressure, we managed to contribute to nearly 10 challenges, with a web application operational and available (for now) at http://ricomcestlabase.no-ip.org/drupal/. The team blog with developments over the night http://abasedericom.blogspot.com/and finally all the videos and information about the key challenges which we participated on http://ricomcestlabase.appspot.com/. It is also possible to retrieve files from our responses to challenges on the website of  ”La Nuit de l’info” http://www.nuitdelinfo.com/doku/.

The results were given yesterday, and after consideration of the jury and for the team RICM-2010 ….

Finalists of the Challenge UML-CS (achieving the best UML model)

Winner of the challenge CapGemini (better use of Google tools and APIs)

Winner of the challenge ActiveEon (challenge “Cloud Computing”)

Very good results for a night that will remain a great team experience (13 members in the team) and that has really held in a very good atmosphere with other teams, especially RICM4, that we will support next year to win more challenges.

With some classmates of RICM, we participate in this moment in the “nuit de l’info 2009“ in one night, responding to a subject and develop the best application. To follow us => Abase de Ricom

Well, the end of Polytech is coming and the time for an internship too, and why not a pre-employement internship in the region. The internship will take place from March 29 to September 10, 2010, or 6 months.

Let’s go to the CV!

As part of a project to develop a commercial website, I solicit the help of all those who pass on my site. Indeed, we conducted a short poll (ten questions) to help define the target users. So if you have just 2 minutes to devote to this poll, I’d be grateful.

Thank you in advance

The internship is completed.

This internship in a research laboratory was really a very rewarding experience for me. Even if this is not the area where I want togo after my studies, I learned and improved a lot.

First of all, autonomy in my work ; indeed, the subject on which I worked (the observation of parallel programs on embedded systems) is not very common, and I could not call for help anyone when I had a problem. I often self-trained and managed to find workable solutions to real problems.

Beyond that, I learned discipline, essential in the context of research. During the first phase of this internship, I read documentations on tools that already exist, and that’s when you realize the need for well-structured code and good documentation. All programs that are created are called to be modified in the future, not necessarily by ourselves, and I realized that with clear and detailed explanations, the work of others is greatly facilitated.

Who says end of internship, said start of the new classes at Polytech, with a new logo for this year, but also a new internship soon, the last of my training.

My second-year internship began this morning at the INRIA laboratory in Grenoble. First day visiting the premises, meeting people, getting badges and, of course, discovering the subject of this internship.Mine concerns the study of parallel programming (OpenMP for the moment) on multi-processor architectures for embedded systems.

My first mission is to develop a component to “see” what happens on the architectures where OpenMP program run. I started by studying the work achieved by a former intern of the laboratory, the observation of parallel programs to understand the necessary mechanisms to make an observation, traces of program execution. Subsequently I will examine various existing tools that allow an observation to finally create a specific component for embedded multi-processors. And this is only the first part :)

I found today the presentation video of Google Wave at the last Google I/O conference, “a new tool for communication and collaboration on the web”, ant instant messaging, which is not really one and I must say it’s rather impressive. Several remarkable features, writing character by character, instant translation … I liked the possibility to insert “Waves” directly into a blog. Anyway, Make your own mind :)

The video is a bit long but she really deserves it, believe me!

Welcome to my personal blog. You will find in this blog a variety of information about me, my resume, projects I have done but also the internships. I certainly will post different articles on different events that will happen soon (internship in less than 3 weeks ;) ).

I will also complete all the pages of this blog.

See you soon
